Merv Griffin's Crosswords is a fantastic crossword game based on the popular TV show. It is dynamic, full of excitement, entertaining, and educative as well.
The goal in this game is to accumulate money and reach the highest score possible. The game mechanics is really simple: after viewing a clue, you are given a few seconds to provide the right answer. If the answer is correct, you win a certain amount of money, otherwise, this amount will be discounted from your account. The value of each answer will depend on the word's length. Besides, if there is a word you do not know, you can use hints, but each one is worth $10.
The game consists of four stages; three rounds to answer the clues and a final round to complete the whole crossword before time runs out. In between rounds, you will find bonuses called crossword extra that give you the chance of winning more money. But be careful with spoilers, as they may take your points and prizes.
The game is fast-paced and challenging, and it demands a wide general knowledge. It has great graphics, with bright colors and nice animations. The voices and sounds, and particularly the music, give the game a realistic touch that makes you feel as in the live TV show. |
